To many, it might seem that Obama is breaking core campaign promises before their moveon.org victory stickers have even come in the mail. Let me give my two sense.
The reason that Obama is a great leader, is because he won’t submit to standard sets of thinking. He is not going to tax the rich just for the hell of it. He is not Robin Hood. Blind ideologies like that are outdated, and the Republican’s stubbornness on their issues, has lead to the mess we are in today. The truth is when he promised to put a windfall tax on big oil the economy was in a much better state. Also, gas was in the $4.00 range, and is unlikely to return to that price for at least a year. The intelligence and willingness to adapt in place of tried ideologies is what is going to give us better government! I think in his first busy year in office Obama has better fish to fry.
